Hand building and wheel throwing

Here is a bit of feedback from the people that came...

" I had no idea we would get to decorate too, the day gave me much more than I expected!"

" I would book again right now if you had a date for follow up!"

"The scones were amazing!"

" I didn't think I would manage to throw one, and I made THREE! I'm so chuffed!"

Wheel throwing and hand building sessions are run in the outdoor area, it is covered and heated when needed.

Both sessions include a mid day break with cream tea/ afternoon tea/ lunch etc. Each session has a full break down on the booking form of what is included. We run these sessions for adults, at the moment we don’t offer this to children.

The wheel throwing is a taster session, it is an easygoing and fun day accessible to most, we cannot offer this at present in a format for those with disabilities unfortunately as we haven’t go the equipment set up for this. It is user friendly, but people who have major back issues, arthritis and other ailments please be aware that working on pottery wheels and manipulation of the clay can pose difficulties for some people.

We strongly recommend all people attending wearing messy clothes, with long hair tied back, nails trimmed and no jewellery or anything that can get caught in the wheels , though we provide aprons it is easy to get mucky!

There are options for team building, larger groups etc, please contact me directly for that.

Both sessions are 10-3 and more details can be seen on the booking page which is linked at the top right of every website page.

For Children

Currently we do not offer the wet clay for children, there are lots of reasons for this , and we are working on creating a safe option and usable session for them, but for now we have adults only in both hand building and wheel throwing, but please do subscribe to follow any of our social media or get updates and we will let you know, alternatively drop us a line and we will contact you when this option is available.

Who is Annie?

Annie-cat Wilson is the boss around here, she is tiny but mighty, you won't be likely to see her in the daytime because she sleeps a lot, but if you were here painting at night you would catch her stomping around and keeping all the critters off her land. So make sure you are on your best behaviour when you visit! Find out more about Annie by taking a look at her Facebook page below.

"We did a paint and sip afternoon tea at Annie's Place for my birthday and it was absolutely lovely. Cherril made the experience so welcoming and fun- we all left with our own stunning pieces that looked far better than we expected!"

The painting session was creative and enjoyable, and the afternoon tea was delicious and beautifully presented, very disappointed I didn't get more pictures. A truly special way to celebrate, and all my guests had a fantastic time.

Highly recommend Annie's Place for a birthday or a unique afternoon with friends!

"I had a brilliant afternoon here with a few friends, Cherril is lovely and so patient with some of us who had never done pottery painting before. An enormous choice of pottery to choose from. I had this trinket pot/painting session as a present from my daughter, which was a great idea. I'm going to do the same thing for her!! Can't wait to go back 😊"

"This is our second time to Annie's Place and we spent a whole afternoon painting away with the friendly cats! It is a very fun and relaxing place to be. Cherril is a wonderful host and her baking is AMAZING!!"
